"The light gives way to the darkness which gives way to the light. As the sun rises and falls endlessly through its day so too shall the Keepers of the Shadow Realm relinquish their watch to a new generation of Keepers for their trials were the penultimate with the finding being the last. By grand ceremony or treasonous strongarm, a new keeper is chosen to watch over the realms of shadow. The group found themselves in an impossibly large vault stolen away from any light save for the iridescent sorcery which cloaked the figures in black. Willing or not, the mantle of custodian to the Shadow Realm passed from old to new. After it was done, the disciples ventured forth to their posts within the shadow realm, on the borderlands, and beyond. Few know about these keepers and even less know what happens after their watch. For some this was the beginning of a long watch and for the others, their trials had just begun."

A collection of music made by the users of the Dungeon Synth Forum who created songs to represent the artifacts possessed by characters attending "The Gathering." Each song was made for this compilation and arranged by the admins at the forum. This is the end of the story beginning with a gathering of hooded figures at a clandestine meeting place deep within the woods.
